Hello, I’m Sally and welcome to The Lookout.
- I have a great love of nature, which is reflected in the Lookout.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at The Lookout in April. Such a peaceful location with sea view and the beach literally on the doorstep! The Lookout is almost like a step back in time. Simple but luxurious, well equipped but uncluttered, a beautiful coastal home from home. The sort of beach house I dream of! Sally is a perfect host providing great communication before, during and after our stay – even guiding us to experience the Northern Lights! Murphy, our (more mature) Labrador was made very welcome, he enjoyed the throws which allowed him to join us on the sofa in the evening and being able to bring his dog bed in to our bedroom at night, to sleep where he usually does at home. We’ve missed our early strolls around the ‘Green’ looking down at the beach and talking to the lovely locals. Arrival and departure arrangements were easily made and we organised a Tesco delivery with a few little treats as we ate in mostly but the local Cafes, Fish & Chip shop and the nearby Lighthouse Inn are all to be recommended. The area is incredibly dog friendly. The beaches are beautiful and the skies go on and on. We certainly hope to return.” – Jo Ann Davies
“From 1st contact to after our stay, Sally has been amazing. It is a beautiful place with everything you could possibly need already there. We stayed for a long weekend, but didn’t want to leave. The peace, tranquility & beauty was breathtaking & our dog enjoyed her swims. Will definitely be making another visit. Relaxed and revitalised. Thank you Sally.” – Leanne Heath
“We stayed at The Lookout for 5 nights in February with our 3 small dogs and, quite frankly, didn’t want to leave. The home itself is spotless and has everything you could possibly need. Sally is a great , communicative host and has thought of everything. The location is unbeatable for those, like me, who love the sea and peace and quiet, although there are a couple of fantastic cafés a very short walk away if you don’t fancy cooking. The sunrises are amazing, the dog friendly beach is beautiful for long walks and the log burner is lovely in the evenings. The sound of the waves crashing on the beach at night is good for the soul, we came away feeling so relaxed. We will definitely be returning in the summer.” – Dee McLoughlin
“If you’ve always wanted to live by the sea but haven’t fulfilled your dream (like me), The Lookout is the perfect place for you! Waking in the morning to THAT view , and the sound of the sea…. there’s nothing like it. Add a great fish and chip shop, two fabulous cafes (one vegan), and a beautiful, dog-friendly Norfolk beach and who could resist? I even swam with a seal (well, a seal pup popped its head up a few feet away!). Mundesley and Happisburgh are close by – walking distance on a sunny day. A lovely beach house in a great area with a beautiful view.” – Sandra Jo Manning
“We stayed at ‘The Lookout’ for a long weekend with our two Welsh Springer spaniels in the middle of January. The house is superbly laid out with a very well equipped, modern kitchen, a very spacious and comfortable lounge, a dining area with fantastic views across the North Sea and a bedroom with a super ensuite bathroom. The weather outside was freezing, but we were lovely and warm in ‘The Lookout’ with its excellent central heating system and log burner. Sally’s communication before our arrival was perfect and we could not have asked for more……so very helpful for our stay. ‘The Lookout’ is a little gem on the scenic Norfolk coast that we would thoroughly recommend.” – Haydn Hart
“Lovely place with a spectacular view! Nice, clean and comfortable – a fantastic place to unwind, walk and enjoy local walks and amenities. Definitely recommend it! Pub within half a mile (plus others within walking distance) and a lovely cafe just up the road. It’s on the coast path so you can walk 3 miles to Mundesley (keep an eye on the tides) or 3 miles the other way to Happisburgh. It’s also nice and central to other tourist spots so an ideal base to strike out from. Had a great stay here and will be back! Thanks Sally.” – Karen Joan
“Our second visit to The Lookout – as lovely in the Autumn as it was in late Summer. The wood-burning stove is a welcome addition and the perfect accompaniment to watching Netflix. The house has everything you need plus there are wonderful views of the stormy North Sea and bracing walks along the sandy beach. The seals and pups at Horsey Gap were the highlight this time. We’ll definitely be back!” – Whichcord Green
“We chose a lazy style of holiday, enjoying the mesmerizing effect of the sea and the peace of the location. But there is plenty to do if you want to! Walking on the beach, Hickling Broad, the Gunton Arms, Paston Church, Bacton Church, Café Carmel – all recommended! The house is lovely, and comfortable. Thank you Sally for letting us stay.” – Nicole and Alex.
“Had a wonderful but all too short stay at The Lookout. The location is perfect, easy reach of Cromer and the busier towns and villages a short drive but if you are looking for beautiful walks, breathtaking beach views and local pubs, cafes and eateries then everything is within walking distance. The accommodation is very well put together and clearly cared for. The sun room overlooking the beach was the perfect space to eat, chat, watch the sunrise and generally relax. The bathroom and kitchen are clean and modern with appliances that are perfect for self-catering so cooking a meal just wasn’t a stress. The real icing on the cake for the Lookout was the log burner in the lounge, creating an atmosphere of comfort and peace – perfect for relaxing, watching a film or enjoying a glass or two. You probably worked out by now we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lookout and hope to return soon.” – Tim Davies
